Make it FUN!
decorate with bling
Spray paint seasonal items, like mini pumpkins, gold and silver. Or paint rocks to look like gold or silver nuggets. Gold and silver mardi gras beads are great, too. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
dress in gold or silver
Wear a gold or silver dress or funky gilded costume and suggest your guests do, too. Not everyone will, but just a couple people in costume really ups the fun. If you have a sculpture, dress it up, too! And ask guests to wear lots of bling jewelry.
tell stories
Ask your guests to tell stories about the items they donated. They can be poignant, funny, or inspirational…have fun with it!
“A box filled with old silver pieces and long-forgotten, never-worn jewelry was taking up space in my home. It was amazing how much it was all worth! So happy to donate the entire value to one of my favorite causes.”
